Pan-European climbing meet: Kalymnos, Greece, 2 - 8 October 2000

The first international climbing meeting in Kalymnos happend the first week ok October 2000.Doug Ward, Brent Jennings, Cecily Roos, Hugo Vaughan, Charles Edelstein and Vanessa Lane (all from Cape Town) and Danny Pinkas from Johannesburg all took on an invitation to join a rock meet on the Greek island of Kalymnos. The official sports climbing meet lasted a week after which most stayed on for another week or two. The limestone climbing povided ascents of grades from 5b through to 7b by the group. The islands is launching itself as an alternative sports climbing venue to Thailand.
